Brethren Please; make an effort to attend to the summons.

Work the MM degree or the FC degree depending on the Candidates being available. Discuss; the program for the Strawberry Banquet; date has been confirmed with the Grand Master; Grand Master suggested MM Degree work by the Grand Lodge for the program. Set building maintenance priorities and continue the search for liability Insurance.

Note; Messalonskee Lodge in Oakland , has at the present time the 12^th Masonic District Traveling Gavel. Lets make the effort to get it at their next Stated meeting the 15^th March 2005 Third Tuesday of the Month. It takes at least 5 five Brothers to take possession of it, a number of Lodges are after it so it may take more then five of our members.

From Your Secretary: Please help me keep the records straight by informing me of any change of address, change of status, etc. It also helps if you send your dues payments in early so that I do not have the extra burden of chasing delinquent members. At present there are 10 members with-out their current dues card. Brother if you do not have a 2005 dues card you are delinquent.. I am basically a lazy person and I do not want to be required sent out a lot of correspondence to members regarding past due payments. Please have the courtesy to answer any correspondence that I send so there is no duplication of effort. Thank you to the Brethren who enclosed a donation along with their dues. If you need an application to give to someone you feel might like to join the craft, please obtain one from the Secretary or any of the Officers.

Too many people overvalue what they are Not

Encouragement does more.

In Italy, for 30 years under the Borgias,

they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed,

but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance.

In Switzerland, they had brotherly love,

They had 500 years of democracy and peace–

And what did they produce? The cuckoo clock.

From the old records:

March 9, 1854: "Voted that the committee heretofore appointed to procure a hall for the future use of the Lodge be authorized to stipulate with Bro. Murray for a Hall under consideration, at a rate of rent not exceeding 20 dollars per year during 1 year or any number of years not over 5, as the parties may determine; and if the committee cannot so negotiate with Bro. Murray to receive his proposals in relation to this subject and report at the next meeting of the Lodge."

On the following Thursday, March 16th, it was voted to pay Bro. Murray $25 for the use of his hall and also to loan him $50 for one year.
