Note: Siloam Lodge in Fairfield, has at the present time the 12th Masonic District Traveling Gavel. Lets get our crowd together and go after it! It takes at least 5 (five) Brothers to take possession of it, a number of Lodges are after it so let’s hope Unity Lodge will turn-out in large numbers Five plus.

Note

Brethren as of this date, Dues payments are still Nine hundred ninety Dollars behind, that totals nineteen 19 of our brothers are not current. If? You do not have a 2006 dues card you are in the arrears.

From Your Secretary: Please help me keep the records straight by informing me of any change of address, change of status, etc. It also helps if you send your dues payments in early so that I do not have the extra burden of chasing delinquent members. I have sent out a lot of correspondence to members regarding past due payments and to date have had little response. Please have the courtesy to answer any correspondence that I send so there is no duplication of effort. Thank you to the Brethren who enclosed a donation along with their dues. If you need an application to give to someone you feel might like to join the craft, please obtain one from the Secretary or any of the Officers.

From the old records:

Regular meeting, Thursday, March 29, 1855. 37 present. Opened on the MM degree. Conducted business including balloting and agreed to refund the membership fee of Fry Abbott and to "receive John C. Hussey on the same conditions". Then closed and opened on the EA degree, initiated a candidate, closed and opened again in the MM degree. Raised a candadate to the sublime degree of MM. A Committee of Inquiry reported favorably on another candidate but he was rejected by ballot. Another petition was received and referred to a committee on Inquiry. "Voted to authorize the Finance Com. to draw orders for the amount required by the G.Lodge & to defray the expenses of a delegate. Voted to amend the By-Laws by adding the following: All & every brother that shall absent himself from the meetings of the Lodge for one year shall forfeit his membership". "Voted that all candidates be balloted for (on their petition for initiation) at our regular communications & at no other times."

This seems to have been ignored in a number of cases.
