.Note: Messalonskee Lodge in Oakland, has at the present time the 12th Masonic District Traveling Gavel. Lets make the effort to get it at their next Stated meeting the 21st June; It takes at least 5 (five) Brothers to take possession of it, a number of Lodges are after it so it may take more then five of our members.

Note

From Your Secretary: Please help me keep the records straight by informing me of any change of address, change of status, etc. It also helps if you send your dues payments in early so that I do not have the extra burden of chasing delinquent members. At present there are 6 members with-out their current dues card. Equals $300.00 Outstanding to the Lodge. Brother if you do not have a 2005 dues card you are delinquent.. I am basically a lazy person and I do not want to be required sent out a lot of correspondence to members regarding past due payments. Please have the courtesy to answer any correspondence that I send so there is no duplication of effort. Thank you to the Brethren who enclosed a donation along with their dues. If you need an application to give to someone you feel might like to join the craft, please obtain one from the Secretary or any of the Officers.

Masonic Thoughts

Self-confidence and honesty are a

great combination. Confidence in one’s

Ability is important, but it works best

when matched by the honesty to

recognize a few defects.

Speak softly and sweetly. If your

Words are soft and sweet, they won’t be

Hard to swallow if you have to eat them.

From the old records:

Under June 22, 1848 we find this: "Fees received: Brother Major M. Wescott’s fees for initiation, crafting and raising, $12..00; the Lodge voted, unanimously, to remit $5..00 of his regular dues; he having been initiated and crafted before the M.W.G. Lodge reduced the fees to $15..00."
